A Direct-to-Garment and Direct-to-Film Hybrid Printer for Small to Medium Businesses

The Epson SureColor® F1070 printer is built for precise printing and repeatable results, all with the same high-quality that Epson is known for. With its automated maintenance system, you’ll spend time printing, not maintaining the machine. Its head cleaning fabric wiper cassette maintains the printhead and keeps in in pristine condition and the automated cap cleaning helps prevent ink buildup and removes dust and fibers.

The printer boasts a clean, elegant design that will fit into any work space with style. It is designed with the user in mind. It’s flat top can double as a work surface and it features large windows as well as an interior light, so you can easily view the printing process from various angles.

Epson’s intuitive print software, Garment Creator 2, comes included with your purchase of the SureColor® F1070. It is very easy to use and allows you to choose your platen size, place your image file, position, scale, rotate, adjust and print. Plus, you can add text for even more customization of your garment. Easily manage your print jobs and business expenses with this Raster-based application, that supports sRGB - PNG, TIFF, JPEG & BMP files and includes a Job Cost Estimator to calculate your cost per print.

Pre-orders start in February 2024 and units start shipping in May of 2024!

I really appreciate how Epson focused on reducing maintenance downtime with that automated cap cleaning and head cleaning fabric wiper cassette—that’s often the biggest headache with DTG printers. For anyone curious about how this model compares to other hybrid setups, you can check out Bizarre Lineage Wiki for more details.

The automated maintenance system sounds like a huge time-saver, especially for small shops where every minute counts. I’ve been comparing hybrid printers lately and found a lot of useful specs and user feedback on the Neverness to Everness Wiki that helped clarify how models like this stack up for DTG and DTF work. The flat top doubling as a work surface is a smart touch too.

That automated maintenance system sounds like a real time-saver, especially the head cleaning fabric wiper cassette. For anyone curious about how this hybrid setup compares to other options on the market, I found a helpful breakdown over at ScopeQuill.

Really interesting to see Epson putting out a hybrid like this—that automated cap cleaning to prevent ink buildup sounds like a huge time-saver compared to babysitting the machine. I've been reading up on the DTF side of things, and this fits right in with what I've seen on SubtitleOps about managing the workflow between garment printing and film transfers. Definitely something to keep an eye on for a shop that wants to offer both options without a huge footprint.
